Moving from a rural area to an urban one. As bad as it sounds?
Hi over there, today I going to talk to you about the migration, this is a very delicate topic, and going to tell you mine experiences like a person that move from a rural area to the city when I was a child and recently, I have a conversation with my grandfather with that I learn and understand a lot of things that I want to share with you.
This not was a decision make in a
moment to another, my parents talk a lot of time to the best future for us. So,
when they decided migrate, we tried to see all the good things that this has,
like the opportunities thar live in an urban area have, better education, more
communication, more sources and better relation with the rest of word. But when
we started lived in the urban area, we have to get adapted, this style of live
was very different to live in a rural, where the people always are working,
there are only certain places you can’t find nature and animals, is a place
with a lot of people always everywhere, and I was accustomed to have a lot of
space and be lonely.
This not only affected me, affected to all my family, my parents have to get work and adapt to de way of working un the city, that de majority of work are in offices and they were accustomed to work outdoors with plants and animals. Also, the kind of education, the activities to do in the free time, the kind of food, this all-little thing that maybe for you are irrelevant, but for my family and me was a lot of change. I think that now a days we get adapted, but that’s not mean that I love here, a part of me stays messing the rural way of life.
One important point is the
discrimination that means migrate, I think that in this aspect I was very
lucky, because I make friends that don’t care that I from a rural area. But
some times specially when a group of teenagers do something that I don’t
understand, they laugh at me, and that make me fell so bad. But I understand
that I don’t have to allow them to make me feel bad, and I tried to ignore
them. My parents also pass for a similar situation, but we always we support
each other, and with that we can afront day a day and all the challenges that
come with it.
The contrast of living in a rural
area and migrate to an urban is very notorious, as I mentioned before, the wat
of life was the biggest change, the noise is something that I don´t like, in
rural area you can here the animals and the birds, but here in the urban, all
you here are cars, people screaming, car whistles and music in all parts. Personally,
I think the opportunities here are better, I can see that in the kind of
education and the connection that have an urban area with the rest of the word,
cause in rural area you are disconnected with the rest of the world.
So, to end I can say that migration
is a question to adapt to the new way of life, and you have to take your time,
learn the costume, make friends that can help you knowing the place, and important
think that this is for a better future and opportunities that maybe you don’t
have in another place.
And that's all from me, remember to
be happy and drink water. See you deep, bye…
